26R12 was released by Pioneer Hi-bred International, Inc., A Dupont Company in 2003. It is a medium maturity variety with medium plant height. Stem color is tan, flag leaf is recurved and not twisted, and plant color is green at boot growth stage. Head density is mid-dense, head shape is tapering, and head color is tan at maturity. Head is awned. The variety is resistant to leaf rust, powdery mildew, and Septoria. It is tolerant to Hessian fly race E. US PROTECTED VARIETY - 1994 PVPA. Variety Producers
