COKER 319 Varieties

COKER 319 was released by Novartis Seeds, Inc. in 1962. It was developed from a cross of Coker 139 and Hicks. Resistance is low to black shank and Granville wilt, and it is susceptible to root-knot nematodes and mosaic. Plant characteristics resemble Hicks but with slightly higher yield. Coker 319 produces a moderate number of ground and high number of leaf axil suckers. Variety Producers
