PERFORMER Varieties

PERFORMER switchgrass was cooperatively developed as a cultivar by the USDA- Agricultural Research Service and the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC and released on 1st of November, 2006. Performer is adapted to the Southeastern U.S. and was selected for its improved IVDMD. Performer is an eight-clone synthetic which is superior over other synthetics for both IVDMD and lignin concentrations. Variety Producers
