TIFT 10 Varieties

TIFT 10 was collected by GW Burton in 1974 in Shanghai, China and released by the Georgia Coastal Plain Experiment Station and USDA-ARS. It is a vegetative introduction. TIFT 10 is vegetatively propagated, sheds pollen, but produces few seeds. Foliage is coarse textured with a natural dark bluish-green color; stolons are dark purple with one to three inch internodes. It establishes rapidly. It is suited for lawns, roughs, roadsides, and low traffic-athletic fields. Variety Producers
