SOUND Varieties

SOUND was released by C. Miejer BV. It is a long oval shaped, light yellow flesh, light yellow skin potato. It has a medium maturity and a medium-long dormancy period. Growth habit is semi-erect, and flower color is white. Sound has excellent resistance to phytophthora, Potato Virus X, and golden nematode. It has moderate resistance to common scab and Potato Virus Y. It is moderately susceptible to soft rot and early blight. Sound has strong yield potential and a good dry matter content.
