26R10 Varieties

26R10 was released by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. It is a soft red winter wheat that has shown adaptation to the soft red winter wheat growing regions of the southeastern and mid-southern US, approximately south of the Ohio River. It has shown very good stripe rust resistance. It exhibits good resistance to leaf rust, soil-borne mosaic virus, and wheat spindle streak mosaic virus. It has shown slightly below average resistance to Fusarium head blight (scab). 26R10 has resistance to Biotype L of Hessian fly from the H13 resistance gene. It is a later maturity with an average of 122 days to heading. 26R10 has a semi-erect juvenile growth habit. Leaf color is green with a waxy present recurved twisted flag leaf at boot.
